Activating staging sites on your Visser Labs license

If you’re testing updates on a staging copy of your store before pushing them live, you don’t need a second license. Every Visser Labs license for Store Exporter Deluxe lets you activate up to 3 staging sites alongside your live site, at no extra cost.

Remove a staging site from your license

To free up a staging slot, go to the Downloads tab of your account and click View Sites next to the relevant license. From there, remove the staging site you no longer need.

Troubleshooting

I entered my license and clicked Activate, but the status still shows Inactive
Double-check that the Activation Email matches the email used to purchase the license. Also, confirm the staging domain matches one of the eligible staging domains listed above. If both are correct and activation still fails, open a support ticket with your license key and staging URL.
My staging site isn’t being recognized as a staging site
This means your domain doesn’t match any of the eligible patterns. If your host offers a staging environment with a different URL format, contact us so we can review adding it.

FAQ

Do I need to buy a separate license for my staging site?
No. Each Visser Labs license already includes up to 3 staging site activations.
Will activating a staging site use up one of my live site activations?
No. Staging site activations are tracked separately from your regular site activation limit.
What happens if I move my staging site to a live domain?
Once the domain no longer matches an eligible staging pattern, you’ll need to activate it as a regular site using an available site activation on your license.
