    Hi,

    My client has purchased your plugin and for the life of me I cant get it to work.
    The issue seems to be the categories and the plugin not finding the cateogry.

    Cat structure in WP Commerce:

    Group: Categories
    Cat Name: Haynes
    Sub Cat: Mens
    Sub Cat: T-Shirts

    For now I just want to get it to import to Haynes. I have tried Categories->Haynes and Haynes but still get the error

    Could not find a Category by that name.

    Any Ideas?

    Michael,

    I just upgraded to 2.6.5.

    I just uploaded 19 items to check if this fix is “fixed”.

    I am facing few problems:
    1)
    The categories were setup and checked earlier, they’re fine
    my product categories are as follows
    Flash/Lighting>Light Stands and Grip>Light Stands|Brands>Avenger

    the categories were imported as following:
    Avenger as a brand is not selected, but Brands is selected!
    The Light Stands is Not selected.

    2)
    when I click on the item on the product page, it gives me a 404 error

    Ok I found out why I was getting the 404 error, I had a html code wrong.

    I missed the quote ” before _blank. that caused all the problem (why? I don’t know, don’t care!!! It works now)
    example below:

    But the category issues still persist.

    Hi RobertK, the ” (quote) character would have caused the issue as the importer would have assumed it was the terminator of that column within your CSV, I recommend where possible saving all CSV files with Microsoft Excel 2007 or a similar document processor 🙂
