I am trying to export report, but this one is displaying 500 error. I have already increased the memory limit of WordPress and PHP, and the error continues. Searching the error a bit more we find the following:

Catchable fatal error: Argument 1 passed to PHPExcel_Calculation::getInstance() must be an instance of Spreadsheet, instance of PHPExcel given, called in /home/portalse/public_html/eventos/wp-content/plugins/woocommerce-store-exporter-deluxe/classes/PHPExcel.php on line 360 and defined in /home/portalse/public_html/eventos/wp-content/plugins/wp-easy-events-professional/assets/ext/calculate/Calculation.php on line 2107

    How to solve?

Hi Thiago Franklin, thanks for asking. This one looks like the Plugin wp-easy-events-professional is loading the Spreadsheet Class on all pages, including our export process. I’d contact the developer of wp-easy-events-professional and ask them to conditionally load the Spreadsheet Class where it is actually used, this will lead to lower memory requirements across your WordPress site and resolve this conflict. Feel free to raise this on Support so we can look at this together if you get stuck.

I can not export nor data from just one user, for example, the problem does not seem to me to be data volume. there’s something wrong. I bought the plugin and I need to use it to issue a report, I need help. I opened a ticket in premium support that has more than 4 hours.

Hi Thiago Franklin, breathe, it’s just on 9am here in Australia and I responded here first as an e-mail notification is triggered on new topics. I am looking at your Support ticket now (and I can see it in the list of new ticket since last night).

In the interim to me replying to your Support ticket in the next 2 minutes can you try de-activating wp-easy-events-professional just for a minute and run an export, I expect the export will work but when you re-enable wp-easy-events-professional it will fail again due to the above conflict of the Spreadsheet vs PHPExcel Classes which can be resolved by asking the developer of wp-easy-events-professional to conditionally load their Classes instead of against all WordPress Administration screens. I will respond to your Support ticket in detail now 🙂

I disabled the professional event plugin easy and ran the export again, ok it worked. How do we solve this? I need the professional event plugin easy to work with.

Thanks for the reply, sorry for the lack of education. Sometimes I forget the time zone. 🙂

Hi Thiago, I’ve responded via Support, there’s a wall of new tickets that I got through to get to you. Just for posterity and for other readers here’s what I recommended as a resolution:

#1. You provide WP Admin and FTP/SFTP access and I pull down a copy of their Plugin and conditionally unhook their Spreadsheet Class when we’re exporting, this will fix it and you can pass that fix onto the developer. I can do it now and it will probably be sorted in the hour

#2. You can provide a copy of their Plugin as an attachment here, I’ll do the same as above, it very likely will fix your problem but take a little bit of back and forth to get it 100% right, I can do it today

#3. You can contact the developer of professional event plugin and hope they figure it out

Just updating this for posterity before closing. The resolution was to conditionally load that Plugin’s resources on all pages except the WooCommerce > Store Export > Quick Export screen. The customer was informed to contact the developer of that Plugin and get them to follow best practices for loading resources conditionally so that they play well with others; like us, or WooCommerce, or any other Plugin. Done and dusted. 🙂
