I’ve got Product Importer deluxe (3.18), Custom Fields (1.4.3) and Store Exporter (1.3.3) with WP e-Commerce Version 3.8.8.5 on WP v3.4.2 site. I’m using the slightly out of date custom fields plugin as the current one would display the plugin in settings at all.

Managed to set up required custom fields OK and manually entering data in to each product custom field works Ok ad data displays on product detail on front end. Fine.

If I then export store exporter data as.csv, all these fields have “Attribute – My Custom field” (where “My Custom Field”” varies) as column header. Fine.

If I then update this csv file with another product or two, when I import it via Product Importer Deluxe, I’m not given a corresponding field on the right (CSV -> WP e-Commerce) to map these new First Row ‘Attribute – xxxxxxxx” fields to. Consequently, the attribute data for new products added to my csv externally are not being imported.

Am I doing something wrong? Does PID need a receiving field for the attribute data? Please could you offer some suggestions please.

    Hi Pylon,

Just updating this topic as we’re corresponding via e-mail too, can you send through login details so I can see why the menu is not appearing in the latest Custom Fields, please note that the menu recently changed to ‘Attributes’ under Products > Attributes within the WordPress Administration.

It’s very likely in the most recent Plugin update for Custom Fields that the mapping to Product Importer has changed, making sure all the Plugins are up to date (including Custom Fields) will reduce the chance of import/merge errors. Flick through an e-mail if you’re still stuck. 🙂
