    Hello Michael,

    I have installed your plug-in and have created a test CSV file that I want to upload:


    I am uploading it with the switch not to use the first row, and to manually add images as part of the process.

    All of the products are using a category I have created under the Brands group (so in the Category area in WP e-Comerce, I created a category called Cyril Assiniboine underneath the Brands group, not the Categories group):


    When I tried doing an import, I got this as an error screen:


    I tried following the example file, and I have played several times with the Category field (I removed the Brands> in front of Cyril’s name, etc.). What am I doing wrong?


    Here was the import log for that attempt:

    I notice you have used



    I’m experiencing the same problem as MikeArsenault. I can’t import a CSV file with the option “Will upload an image for each Product in the next step”. I receive the error message “Could not find a category by that name”. I remember this option worked successfully in the past, but I’m not sure which versions of WPEC or PID worked correctly together.

    Please note that I don’t have any problems importing a CSV with the option “Assigned an image column for Products in the CSV file”, but my client wants to use the other method (of course). I used the “sample-deluxe.csv” file from your web site for testing purposes.

    I’ve set up a brand-new test site with all the latest versions of everything, so that you can see the error. Can you take a look at my test site?

    I sent you an email with the username and password for my test site. Please let me know if you find a solution.

    Hi MikeArsenault and ageorge, support for Groups was removed in a recent Plugin update in preparation for the migration over to WP e-Commerce 3.8 that no longer supports Groups; the Plugin team managing WP e-Commerce made the call, I love Groups!

    I’ll be re-introducing this functionality for WP e-Commerce 3.7 sites in the next Plugin update today or at the very latest to support WP e-Commerce 3.8 in the coming days. Thanks for your patience.
