I’ve been looking everywhere, but there doesn’t seem to be any way to automatically set an order to “completed” if the total value is zero. Most of our orders are made by clients who’ve received 100% discounts, so we’re spending a lot of time completing orders which have a € 0 total value.

This is probably really easy to create if you know what you’re doing…

Hi roland, I’ll have a play with this later in the week, it should be pretty simple we just need to add the WordPress hook at the right point of the Checkout process 🙂

    Hi Michael, that’s awesome.

I just thought of something though: perhaps a check can be put in to see if all items in the order are virtual? We don’t need this check for our ‘shop’ as we don’t have any physical products, but if someone does sell physical products, they wouldn’t want the order completed before actually shipping, even if the total value is zero.

Hi roland, I’ve added this in the 1.5.3 update to Store Toolkit. All we do is check the Order Total so if it’s 0.00 then we update the Order Status to Completed, if the Order Total is 0.01 then it doesn’t update it. I agree with your point for virtual vs tangible items so will make a change in the next Plugin update to only do this for virtual-only Orders.

    Hi Michael,

That’s awesome. I’ve just upgraded in my sandbox site and it works perfectly. Thank you so much for this! Both my coworkers and I already love this feature.
