How to export TM Extra Product Options Pro data in Store Exporter Deluxe

Requires TM Extra Product Options Pro

When a customer picks extra options on a product, like a gift message or an upgraded material, you probably want that choice to show up in your order records. Store Exporter Deluxe adds native support for TM Extra Product Options Pro, so you can add those selections to your order exports.

This support covers the options a customer actually chose on an order, not the option definitions you set up on a product. If you’re after the full list of options configured for a product, that lives in TM Extra Product Options Pro itself, not in a Store Exporter Deluxe export.

How it works

Store Exporter Deluxe checks whether TM Extra Product Options Pro is active, and if it is, adds a field for every extra option it finds on your orders. Each field is named Order Items: Gift Wrap (using the option’s name), or Order Items: Delivery Extras when the option belongs to a labeled section (using the section label instead). Each field only fills in for a line item where the customer actually selected that option. Line items without any extra options selected simply leave these columns blank.

Store Exporter Deluxe builds this field list by scanning your existing orders for extra options, and caches the result for up to an hour. If a customer selects a brand-new option name for the first time, its field won’t appear in Add more fields until that order has been placed and the cached list has refreshed.

Exporting TM Extra Product Options Pro data

Confirm both plugins are active

  1. Go to Plugins in your WordPress admin and confirm Store Exporter Deluxe and TM Extra Product Options Pro both show as active.

Start an Orders export

  1. Go to WooCommerce → Store Export, then click Quick Export in the sidebar.
  2. Under Select Export Type, select Orders. The extra option fields only appear on an Orders export, since the data comes from what a customer picked on an order, not from the product’s option setup.

Add the extra option fields and run the export

  1. On the Export Fields step, click Add more fields and add the Order Items: [option name] field for each option you want in your export.
  2. Apply any filters you need, then choose your export format.
  3. Click Run Export.
  4. When the Export in Progress dialog finishes, click Download File.

Open the file. The value the customer selected appears in the Order Items: [option name] column, or in Order Item #1: [option name], Order Item #2: [option name] and so on, depending on the Order Items Formatting option.

If an order has more than one line item with extra options, check the Order Items Formatting card on the Filters & Sorting step. This setting controls whether multiple line items export as Combined, Unique, or Individual, which changes how the Order Items: [option name] values line up in your file.

Troubleshooting

I don’t see any Order Items: columns for TM Extra Product Options Pro in Add more fields
Check that you selected Orders as the export type. The Products export doesn’t include these fields, since this integration only reads data recorded against order line items. Also confirm the order you’re checking actually has a line item with extra options selected. If none of your orders do yet, the field list has nothing to show.
A newly added option isn’t showing up in Add more fields
Place a test order that uses the new option, or wait for a customer order that uses it. Then check Add more fields again. Store Exporter Deluxe only adds a field once an order using that option exists, and it caches the field list for up to an hour, so the new field can take up to an hour to appear.
Only some orders have the extra option columns filled in
That’s expected. Each column only fills in for a line item where the customer actually selected that option. Orders or line items without extra options stay blank for those columns.

FAQ

Can I export TM Extra Product Options fields from a Products export?
No. This integration only adds data to the Orders export, based on what a customer selected on an order’s line item. To see a product’s configured extra options, check the product’s settings in TM Extra Product Options Pro directly.
Do I need to turn on a setting to enable this?
No. Once both Store Exporter Deluxe and TM Extra Product Options Pro are active, the Order Items: [option name] fields appear automatically in Add more fields for an Orders export. There’s nothing to configure.
I use a free extra product options plugin. Does this work for me?
No. This integration is built specifically for TM Extra Product Options Pro by ThemeComplete. It checks for that plugin’s own classes before it adds any fields, so free plugins with a similar name, such as Extra Product Options For WooCommerce by ThemeHigh, won’t trigger it.
