    Hi,

I have just purchased the software and found the example csv file to use, so i have built that up to my products (choose 15 for testing) and every thing seems to be ok a part from the file location and the download locations

In the example csv it just has the file name but i have not been able to locate the directory that i would need to FTP the images up to before the mass import can any one let me know which directorys i need to locate for the product images and the file downloads

Lastly does any one have any recommendation how one can add sequential numbering on file names, for example in pages the sku i used was 1,2,3,4 etc.. so highlight them names and drag down to fill the rest of the column and that works fine but if i wanted to do the same for the file names it does not work because i think of the .jpg the drag down only copys the file name and not automatically users the sequential numbering as it does for the sku column

    Thanks in advance
    Kind Regards,
    Sam

Hi Sam, the download and thumbnail location in WP e-Commerce are as follow, I’ll update the readme and usage document to match.

    /wp-content/uploads/wpsc/downloadables/ (Downloadable files)
    /wp-content/uploads/wpsc/product_images/ (Full size Product images)
    /wp-content/uploads/wpsc/product_images/thumbnails/ (Thumbnail Product images)

    Hi Michael,

    Thanks for the information,

Have you or anyone come across directory permission issues for these directories?

I have tried to upload images but get a write error which is strange as i can access all other areas of the install just fine but this directory does not want to play i have checked permissions and they are on 755 as from the plugin installation

    Kind Regards,
    Sam

Worked out the issue, apache took ownership and changed the permissions so a quick change on the server and all seems to work now 🙂
