Forgot my last question…
Can we add info taken from a custom checkout field for example ‘company name’ to the invoice easily enough?
Hi Luke, custom checkout fields are not yet supported. I’m going to collate a list of features and put a poll up for each Plugin to identify most-needed features 🙂
Michael, a few pre-sales questions;
1. I see there is no space for VAT number (UK tax company number)
Is there anyway of the us users putting this field in?
2. Can you upload an example PDF so I can see the formatting the plug-in makes. I know you have a screen-shot but I can’t see how that would look on a printed A4 page.
3. You offer paid support is this correct? I hope you appreciate that this worries me a little. What is your average response time to non ‘premium support’ customers?
4. What guarantee/refund policy do you offer if the plug-in is incompatible or not as described?
Thanks
Hey..
How soon can we expect Printable Invoices plugin to allow to attach PDF invoice to the email notification sent to client? I would be very interested in your plugin, once this feature will be added.
Let me know what’s a realistic timeframe?
Thanks!!
Hi Michael,
I’ve seen shipping labels templates that are designed for use as both a invoice and a shipping label. Basically the top half of the A4 sheet is paper and the bottom half has a sticker that you can tear off. Is the layout (positioning and font size) of your invoice able to be customised (by someone like yourself) so that this can line up for printing on these type of labels?
Thanks
Tom
Michael,
I think I am having the same problem as Tom with Printable Invoices 1.4.
I installed version 1.4 in WordPress 3.04 and the Store has the Printable Invoices link so I can setup the Invoice. But there is no action or link to create the form. How are the Invoices generated?
Thanks.
Hi MrFixIt, I’ll repackage 1.4 and make a minor Plugin update available shortly.
You still working in making this the default receipt? You said other things are more important but I’m sure you can see on the forums that EVERYONE wants a better email receipt. Please provide this feature soon.
Do you know if 3.8 will have better email customizability as promised by Dan some time ago?
Hi Manj, I’ve been going after low-hanging fruit, that being templating, Sale details and tax, I’ve been working with Jim to overhaul the template which has taken some time, I’ll be pushing the next Plugin update out Monday, from there I can focus on other features, a better e-mail receipt could definitely be next.
As far as I’m aware the WP e-Commerce 3.8 source files include no indication of improved e-mail customisability.
so does this replace the purchase report email? or do you have to manually go into wordpress and view inside the plugin?
Hi Fred, Printable Invoices adds an Action option to the Sales page that allows store owners to print/e-mail a detailed invoice to the customer, I’m working on adding support for replacing the existing Admin Report/Purchase Receipt in future releases though there are other priorities at the moment.
How much of it is automated?
i.e.
– Is an invoice automatically created for each sale?
– Is that invoice automatically populated with all required customer and store info.
– Is it emailed through the wordpress store (like the WPEC store receipts) or do we need to export and attach using our a separate email provider?
Hi Luke, to answer your questions.
– Invoices are generated for each Sale via the ‘Print Invoice’ link within the Sale detail page
– The invoice is automatically populated with store, customer and Sale details
– There is no e-mailing functionality as yet, this is being looked into as mentioned previously. I am very much looking forward to supporting this as Printable Invoices supports invoice templating so makes possible for a future Plugin update. For now you can print or e-mail the displayed invoice.
Hi Michael,
I just installed your plugin, but the action option (print invoice) does’nt show up in my action list.
I’ve got no errors, the plugin is activated, I can do settings, everything seems to be normal.
What can I do about it?
Hi Tom, please get in touch, Printable Invoices hooks into the standard WP e-Commerce actions list so I’d be keen to see what’s different on your store install.
Just purchased, activated, and customized the settings. On an existing order, I clicked on “Print Invoice” and I got the following:
Fatal error: Call to undefined function wpsc_get_template_file_path() in /home/amazing/public_html/wp-content/plugins/wp-e-commerce-printable-invoices/includes/release-3_8.php on line 13
Please help. Thanks!
Hi Morgan, I’ll load up the latest release and confirm, it may be dependant on your hosted WordPress install. I’ll be in touch. 🙂
Hi eunoia, can you please get in touch, I’d like to confirm whether it’s a permission or incorrect file path issue affecting your store. Once I know more I can update the Plugin to correct for your store needs.
Hi Michael, I just upgraded to 1.3.2 but I still can’t see any logo in the printable invoices. The logo was smaller than the required measurements.
Any ideas what else I can do?
Thanks.
Hi there,
great little add on well done. When I click print invoice it is not showing the tax included amount it just shows $0 (10%), but on the sales log page it shows the tax in there just find. Can you please help
Hi Ashley, Printable Invoices allows the store owner to print a hardcopy or print to PDF a detailed invoice for inclusion with packing. In future versions I’ll be adding an option to attach this to the Purchase Receipt sent to the customer as well as PDF output.
Hi guys, please update to 1.3.2, the latest minor Plugin release resolves the logo image issue (relating to 3.8 compatibility). I’ll be introducing the same WordPress Theme templating functionality as found in my other Plugins in the next update in the coming week.
Hi There,
Printable Invoices does not load the logo image. 🙁
Any one know how I can fix this? Without this solved, this plugin offers no great difference to the invoices created generally in admin before the plugin was installed. I thought it might attach as a PDF for my customers to their order or some such, and it doesn’t, and because I can’t even personalise it with my logo, I have paid $60 for something that essentially does nothing more than print the invoice, which looks pretty similar to the invoice created in admin before I installed the plugin. Anyone had the problem of the images not loading and then solved it? I’d love to know. Even if I can fix that, it would be a help.
Thanks 🙂
Is there a bug in this plugin? In the configuration page, it’s not uploading my store logo, no matter what I do. Yes, the store logo is the required format (gif), and yes, it is the correct size (smaller than 292 x 75). Any ideas? Thanks
