[Plugin update] Store Exporter Deluxe 2.1 for WooCommerce

Hi WooCommerce store owners, the 2.1 Plugin update is a major Plugin update with UI changes to the WooCommerce > Store Export screen and fixes affecting the Product and Order export types. We’ve added support for WooCommerce EU VAT Assistant and WooCommerce Custom Fields as well as a set of new Order and Order Items export fields.

New UI

The biggest change to the UI is the new Scheduled Exports tab within WooCommerce > Store Export, this has given us more room to show Scheduled Export column details and leave the Settings tab as the go to place for global Plugin settings.

There is a new notices that appears where we detect an incorrect /tmp path which can impact our generation of XLS, XLSX file types which includes details about the problem and how to resolve this.

Note: I’ll upload screenshots here of the new UI tomorrow morning and update the screenshots on the Plugin detail page too. 🙂

New Order export fields include:

  • Order Shipping excl. Tax
  • Order Total Tax: Tax Rates

What’s coming up

Export templates! I mentioned it in the 2.0.9 Plugin update release notes and have spoken to loads of customers (both in-person at WooConf 2016 and via Support tickets), export templates is going to be the focus of the 2.1 series as it has huge implications for store owners.

Download the latest Plugin update from My Account, or via Dashboard > Updates within the WordPress Administration and for more information visit the Plugin detail page for Store Exporter Deluxe.

Plugin update: Custom Fields – 1.4.4

Hi WPER’ers, the 1.4.4 Plugin update adds a few more Custom Field Type’s including checkbox and radio lists. This means you can now configure the list options for these Type’s and from the Add/Edit Products page simply hit the option rather than manually filling the default input field, pretty cool huh.

After working with Jigoshop and WooCommerce I’m bringing our labels in line with the other e-Commerce platforms so have changed references from Custom Fields to Attributes. You will now find the Attributes page under Products > Attributes.

In the next major Plugin update we’ll be migrating from custom Post meta over to custom Post Terms so we can better harness the WordPress Terms engine both within the WordPress Administration and on the storefront. I’ll be working with a few Plugin users to understand how this Plugin is being used and ways to limit/eliminate any data migration issues.

Plugin update: Custom Fields – 1.3.1

The 1.3.1 minor Plugin update for Custom Fields adds support for the TinyMCE editor on a new ‘Textarea (with Editor)” custom field. As this is a minor Plugin update I may adjust this to being an optional checkbox for the ‘Textarea’ type in the future; what do you think?

I’ve got a quiz too, what’s the best way to present the Textarea custom field on the Single Product template, currently there is the custom field label followed by the custom field contents. Here’s a sample layout I’m considering:

This is my biography, on a new line, not like other custom fields.

As usual support is included for WP e-Commerce 3.7 and 3.8. Jump over to the Plugin detail page for more information.

Plugin update: Custom Fields – 1.2.5

The 1.2.5 minor Plugin update for Custom Fields adds support for drop-downs. This means a drop-down menu can be displayed on the Add/Edit Products screen for frequently used custom fields. Support is included for WP e-Commerce 3.7 and 3.8.

Display custom text boxes on Product pages with Custom Fields

The 1.1 Plugin update of Custom Fields brings support for adding textboxes in conjunction to standard input fields to the Product detail page, this enhancement makes it possible for store owners to add and manage additional content blocks within the Add/Edit Products screen of the WordPress Administration.
