Hi WooCommerce store owners, the 1.2.2 minor Plugin update for OCCP moves us over to the WooCommerce mailer system so no more plain-text e-mail alerts on new Orders. Also in this minor release is the introduction of 3 new tags for the e-mail template sent to store owners:
%billing_details% – Will include the Billing Address provided at Checkout
%shipping_details% – Will include the Shipping Address provided at Checkout
%customer_note% – Will include the Customer Message provided at Checkout
Download the latest Plugin update from My Account, or via Dashboard > Updates within the WordPress Administration and for more information visit the Plugin detail page for Offline Credit Card Processing.
The new Order Total tag (%order_total%) displays the Order Total within the Payment Details e-mail sent to the store owner, there’s also an option to show/hide the Order Total within the card details popup screen that can be managed from Settings > Offline Credit Card within the WordPress Administration.
Here’s the complete changelog:
Added: Missing common function
Added: Order Total (%order_total%) tag to e-mail
Added: Order Total detail to card popup
Added: Setting to change Sale Status when Accepted button is pressed
Unlike always, download the latest Plugin update from My Account, or via Dashboard > Updates within the WordPress Administration and for more information visit the Plugin detail page for Offline Credit Card Processing.
OCCP has made it to 1.7! This major Plugin update removes the dependance on a merchant file stored locally within the WP e-Commerce Plugin’s ‘merchants’ directory, what this means for you is a more reliable Plugin (no risk of file permissions or overzealous WordPress security Plugins) as well as Plugin update safe templating support for the Checkout form fields coming just around the corner.
Also included in this release is a few validation changes affecting American Express and for new store’s where no accepted cards have been selected. I’ll be releasing label support for accepted cards in the next Plugin update as I want to also overhaul the e-mail engine that is sent to the store owner to support templating via the Settings page (as is done for the Purchase Receipt/Admin Report) as well as HTML support via Printable Invoices (ala Store Invoices in the new year).
The 1.6.9 release is a minor Plugin update that adds support for 15-character American Express cards, I’m prepping the 1.7 major Plugin update for release before the years end adding an interface to Credit Card labels and icons as well as some improvements to the administration of processing Sales.
The 1.5.7 Plugin update follows on from the last Plugin update adding filters to allow third-party payment option support as well as overhauled validation at Checkout.
The big changes in this Plugin update are in the templating department, web developers can now copy the OCCP template files from /templates/ to their WordPress theme directory just like in other Plugins; this will be extended further in the next Plugin update to allow easy template support for the Checkout payment option which is not yet supported. Also joining the Settings page is a set of labels to manage the Card Type, Card Name, Card Number, Card Expiry and Card CVV, all of these fields can be renamed at any time within the WordPress Administration (e.g. Card Expiry to Valid Through).
The 1.5.6 Plugin update packs a few features into a minor Plugin update. Firstly there’s a new Card Type field appearing on the Checkout page, this field feeds off the Accepted methods card list (e.g. VISA, Mastercard, PayPal, etc.). You can show and hide the Card Type depending on your store setup. I’ve added an Idea to allow the layout style to be changed from the Settings page. (e.g. dropdown, list, checkboxes, etc.)
In this update there’s also CC – BCC coming soon – support for sending the Admin Report to multiple addresses (e.g. store owner and accountant). To top it off behind the hood the card list has been overhauled, it’s now more streamlined and will have a third-party filter to allow other card types to be added in the next Plugin update.
You read right, Manual Ordering now includes support enabling store owners to attach offline credit card details to new Sales through integration with Offline Credit Card Processing.
This feature is ideal for store call centers or operators accepting mail orders, Manual Ordering integrates neatly with Offline Credit Card Processing linking settings in OCCP with the Add Order Page within the WordPress Administration.
Existing customers of Manual Ordering can purchase Offline Credit Card Processing to benefit from this today, visa versa.
A quick update that I’ve gone through and can confirm full-compatibility across the Visser Labs WP e-Commerce Plugin suite with WordPress 3.0.2, so what are you waiting for, start updating.
Note: As always, perform a full backup of your WP e-Commerce store – that means files and database – as it only takes a single corrupt file during transfer to knock out your daily earnings. An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.
The 3.0.2 update is a mandatory security update for all previous WordPress versions which plugs a few Core vulnerabilities and miscellaneous fixes. The following Visser Labs Plugins have been tested with WordPress 3.0.2:

I’m very happy to announce the latest Plugin off the production line, Offline Credit Card Processing for WP e-Commerce. You can now securely collect customer credit card information for processing offline through your bank merchant account or business terminal.
This is the first collaboration with Roy Ho from 1 Plus Design who has made this Plugin for WP e-Commerce a reality and delivered a secure, well-designed solution.
Customer credit card information are securely handled by splitting the credit card number where one part (e.g. 43603323) is stored with the purchase details in the database and the other part (e.g. 03217283) is e-mailed to the store owner. The two parts can then be matched up for offline credit card processing.
